Brian D. McCarl, Founder
Brian McCarl started the company in 1990 to focus on urban multifamily and service enriched senior housing. As President, he provided leadership for the successful completion of $100 million of new building assets. He left the company for five years in 2006 to become Pacific Northwest Region Vice President Acquisitions for Newland Real Estate Group, the largest private master planned community builder in the United States. He returned to the company in 2012.
During his 40 year career Brian has gained valuable insights into real estate development. His experience includes the master planning and development of 170 blocks of urban real estate in downtown Portland, Oregon. Signature projects include RiverPlace, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Waterfront Park, Pacific Tower, The WestShore Apartments, and the Lloyd Business District Development Plan.
A graduate of the University Of Oregon School Of Architecture and Allied Arts and a real estate developer his entire career, Brian brings a unique set of professional skills and attention to detail to each effort. He was 2012 Chairman of the Portland Home Builders Building Innovation Council, a past member of the US Green Building Council and Newland Communities Team Leader for sustainable development.
